Weekly Update
Dear members,
Welcome to another edition of the the Friday Flyer. As we experience record November temperatures and bushfire incidents across the country (today South Australia is experiencing over 100 blazes after lightning strikes overnight) we appreciate the burden this adds to your workload. We join Bush Support Services in reminding members to look after themselves. The Bush Support Line is only a phone call away and you're encouraged to call before a situation becomes a crisis.
Our CEO Carole Taylor has been in Canberra for the past few days continuing to lobby for the remote sector. We’ll have an update for you in the next edition.
The new membership options have seen a good response from both new and renewing members. The ability to have membership direct debited, multi year membership discounts and anniversary membership have been welcomed. If your membership has expired this is a great time to renew.
Are you looking for the perfect gift for Christmas or nursing graduation? One of our members gave her daughter (an RN) CRANAplus membership.
The FLEC schedule for 2010 is now available on our website and Karen, Steve and Claire are busy with bookings and enquiries. As many of you will know these popular courses are not only booked out quickly but often twelve months in advance. If you’re due for an update (every two years is recommended) or yet to experience one of the nationally acclaimed courses I would suggest you go to the website insert link and act soon!
Looking for a change? This week in our employment section you’ll find a range of vacancies for Area Services Managers and RAN positions in the Top End in Maningrida, Palumpa, Wadeye and Milingimbi.
